Coldsprings and Denlow were in Douglas County, I believe in 1880 it was Cass Township. Pat Alsup Hardman
I've found where I can view the 1880 Douglas Co. Census. Will someone please tell me what county Cold Springs or Denlow would have been in. Perhaps now it would be Ava's township? Thanks.

I don't know if Kay Martin is on this list--if so I imagine she will respond. We used to correspond, but lost touch. She had a Martin connected to an Alsup and I think they had something to do with a store at Teague? --near Dogwood. Will try to find her e-mail and forward it. Shirley Warren
I didn't get/see the original message regarding Samuel Martin. This isn't the first time this has happened. Anybody else have this problem? Samuel Martin is also my ggg grandfather. Robert A Martin was my gg grandfather. I have quite a bit of information on the Martin line. Would be glad to share what I have. Dear Lou Nell, I believe that somehow her name did get mixed up and that it should be Cynthia Hutchinson Arnold. Thanks you for the information. I feel sure Cynthia did marry my husband's grandfather and that she probably did due to the complications of pregnancy. They had been married only six 1/2 months, so something must have gone terribly wrong with her pregnancy. It sure would be nice to find someone who knows for sure. Linda
I have a Nancy Ellen Alsup born 1851 in Ark died 1929 place unknown. Her parents are William Newton Alsup and Mary Pasley. I have no marriage information for her. Alot of these families settled in Whitman and Spokane co's in Washington State. Check this site http://hometown.aol.com/Ralsup2/homepage.htm you may find something there. good hunting, Myrna Parker
Hi Ok, then they are probably cousin's. Polly Ann Alsup is the daughter of Thomas S. Alsup and Catherine Sweeten. His father is Moses Lock Alsup. (I think). Have this from several sources, haven't gather the documents yet personally. There are a great many resources for Alsup information. Books and Web pages. Polly Ann Alsup died in 1949 when I was a small child. I remember her. I don't think I have much information on William Alsup but if I have anything I will send it. Betty
Hi Betty, Gosh, I am sorry . . . I don't know anything about Polly Ann. I did just learn that Nancy Ellen Alsup was the daughter of William Newton "Bill" Alsup, brother of Lock Alsup. Linda

She was dau. of William Newton "Bill" Alsup and Mary Parsley. .....Also show a daughter of Tom Hutchison with name of Cynthia Arnold Hutchison b. 19 Nov. 1873 d. 1 Jan 1891. Email me personaly and I will give you my sources and they should know a lot more about these families. Good Luck Bev.
Linda, I wish I could help but I don't have any information at this time. Do you have information which connects Nancy Ellen Alsup to the Polly Ann Alsup who was married to Robert Phenix (1 Nov 1875)? Thank you for responding to my inquiry. Betty
