    2. Janis Gilmore
    3. Hi, Since Howell Co is right next door to Douglas Co, and we have a lot of overlap, I thought I would let the list know that I have posted Howell Co marriages 1866 - 1893 (alphabetical by bride and by groom) on my website. Other Howell Co info, as well. Additionally, you will find my own Howell Co surnames, and a full index from my database, over 3,000 individuals. www.HowellCountyMo.com Best, Janis Walker Gilmore Pawleys Island, SC & Seattle, WA

I remember your brothers and sisters well. I've often driven by the old school house but it is now used to store hay and is all overgrown so I just thought I'd like to have a picture for my genealogy file. I don't remember any of those other teachers. I think they must have been later. Ila Zoe Emery was my 8th grade teacher. Do you still live around MG? Barbara

I attended there in the 1940's and early 1950's. Two of the teachers I recall were Fred Smith and Ila Zoe Emery. I recall the Kimballs, Sellers, Bramlett, Parsons and Plaster families. I would like to have some pictures or correspond with anyone else who attended there.

    1. [MODOUGLA] Edward Allen Farris, born 1868 Missouri
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Farris, Moore Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/GKB.2ACE/1669 Message Board Post: I am looking for descendants of Edward Allen Farris, born 1868 in Missouri, most likely in Cedar County where his parents, James T. Farris and Nancy (or Ann) Catherine Moore, lived in 1870 and 1880. Edward lived in Baxter County, Arkansas at the time of the 1910 Census, but must have moved to Ava, Douglas, Missouri after that as he died there 8 Dec 1940. At that time he had a wife named Maey (May? Mae?). E.A. Farris married, 17 June 1894 in Baxter County, Arkansas, Hattie or Hallie Hurst, age 19. E. A. was 25 at the time, about the right age to be my Edward. Besides, the 1910 Census shows him with a wife named Hattie W., aged 35. Children were Mabel A., aged 14, born Arkansas, and Howard C., aged 10, born Arkansas. Online marriage records for Marion County, Arkansas show Mabel Farris, 20, marrying E. F. Nelson, 26, on 1 April 1926. Newspapers items list her as Mabel Wilson, wife of Earnest. Howard Farris married Elsie Johnson of Gassville (Arkansas) on 25 April 1924. This appeared in the local newspaper at Cotter, Baxter, Arkansas. Elsie was the daughter of T. A. Johnson. In 1940, Mabel was living at Portland, Oregon and Howard was living at Sacramento, California. Two of Edward's brothers, Riley T. and Horace Orland, also lived in Sacramento by 1933. I don't know whether any descendants would be living today in Douglas County, but it seems that anyone researching this line would be looking there. Anyone else interested in this Farris clan? Thanks, Alma Robertson
