I am looking for the grave of my gg gf John Henry Wood (January 02, 1835-1861/64) son of Henry William and Sarah Freeman Wood. Henry William died on 23 September 1898 in Douglas County, Missouri and was buried in September 1898 in Mt. Ararat Cemetery, Douglas County, Missouri. Sarah died about 1845 - I believe she is buried in Mt. Ararat also but it is not in my notes. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/GKB.2ACE/1679 Message Board Post: I am looking for Sparks descendants in Douglas County. My great-grandfather, John Richard "Jack" Sparks, was born somewhere in Missouri on Oct. 18, 1857, to Thomas Sparks and Martha McDowell. He had a brother, Isaac (or Issac) Rigdon Sparks, who was supposedly born in Douglas County on March 2, 1860. I'm wondering if Jack might have been born there, too. And possibly, Thomas and Martha were married there? The only reference I have found to them as a family was in the 1860 Pulaski County census, when they were living with Martha's brother. I have no idea how they got there, or when. At that time, Thomas was listed as being 50 and a native of South Carolina. Martha was 20, Jack was 2 or 3, and Ike was a baby. I do know that Jack died in 1906 in Webb City, and was buried there. He was living with Ike at the time of his death. Ike died in Los Angeles in 1930. Does anyone have any ideas? Jayne

We are missing a Leatha Hall Amos but when you look at the census records, it could be read as Seaton. Both on the Hall-Amos records and the Twitty record. The last firm information is Pension records for when her husband, Noah Amos, died in the Civil War. The pension listed her guardian as her brother-in-law, Mr. Sullivan. Thanks.
