I am trying to find someone else also researching Ransom Copeland of Dent County. I am descended through his son Solomon Copeland who married Mary J. Butts in 1861 in Dent Co. Ransom was often called "Rance".....he fought in the Civil War for the Union......and was born 1822 possibly in Georgia or TN. Kathy
