They all list his place of birth as MO, but with no more specific place. In 1910 he was living in Dustin, Hughes County, Oklahoma. His oldest child Alice, is 4 years old. His wife, Elizabeth Burgan, was living in Indian Territory by 1900 near Eufaula (now McIntosh Co, OK.) Since their marriage should have been before statehood, it may be recorded in one of the three US Court Districts whose borders were near there, if it was recorded at all. Or they may have gone across the border to MO or AR to marry. In 1920 they were living in Canadian, Pittsburg Co, OK. According to the January 23, 1931 Custer Co, OK school census they were living in Stafford, near Alice's father in law Thomas C Krout. At this time Alice and Oscar Krout were living in Mobeetie, Wheeler Co,TX. Family lore has that they were still living in Oklahoma, and just visiting Alice's family in Mobeetie when her brother Clarence died. Their father died 4 days later. They were both buried at Mobeetie Cemetery. According to their Death Certificates, Clarence died of Lobar Pneumonia on Feb. 16, 1932, and on that same day William Coleman Watson began being treated for Influenza. None of the residence information is filled out on either form. An Influenza epidemic was front page news that week in Custer Co, OK. Please let me know if any of this rings a bell with you. Thank you! Chandra
