My mother who was a Scantlan in this area went to school in the best schools in the world I would say. Or maybe it was the era. She was born in 1906 and she wrote such poems as this one plus about her life growing up, of which I have some in her hand writing. She only finished gradeschool but had a better education than I do and I went through business college with A average:) They really knew how to teach back then, If anyone is related to the Scantlan or Key family, I would appreciate sharing back and forth.
