His Father was Rev Samuel Nickles. Don't know if you have found any further information on this subject. But, I know that John Henry was married to Josephine "Josie" Luster. There's a story my Grandfather told me that goes, "One day, John Henry told Josie he was going to the store to buy a loaf of bread. He didn't return for 25 years. Upon his return one day to Josie's home he stated, 'You know the darndest thing happened, they were out of bread." At this point, I don't know of his where abouts for those 25 years. I do know that Josephine never divorced him, yet never let him move back in to her home. She allowed John Henry to live on some property she bought in Washington, MO and that is where he died. He is buried in New Diggins Cemetary in Potosi, MO. If you need anything further, please don't hesitate to contact me. Samuel is as far as I have gotten on that side of the tree. *S*
