In the 1850 census for Daviess County, Ind., the name is spelled Wasson. He married Sarah Foster. They were the parents of my ggrandfather, William W. Wauson. In the 1870 census for Dent County, Mo., Sarah (age 53) (name is spelled Wasson in the census, but Wauson on her tombstone) is shown living with S. J. Roberts (age 20). In the 1880 census Sarah (age 64) is shown living with Sarah J. Williams (30) and Jasper Williams (44). We have always assumed that Sarah J. Roberts (Williams) was the daughter of John and Sarah Foster Wauson. Am I confused or what? Has anyone found more substantial information? By the way, my email address is now cwatson7@houston.rr.com.
