Salem, Missouri James Corbet Conway, son of the late Nelson Conway and Nancy Ann Brown Conway, was born June 21, 1892, at West Fork, Missouri, and passed away February 2, 1982, in Salem, Missouri, at the age of 89 years. He was united in marriage to Hattie Rachael Palmer on May 2, 1914 at Moss, Missouri, and to this union two children were born. He is preceded in death by his paarents, his wife, four sister Artie Bailey, Tressie Callahan, Mary McNeil, and Della Neiland, two brothers Dave Conway and Roe Conway. He is survived by two sons Gurney Conway of Salem, Missouri, and Edgar Conway of Green Valley, Illinois, five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild, and other dear relatives and family friends. He professed a faith in Christ at an early age, and was a member of The Locust Grove United Baptist Church. He was a loving father, grandfather, and friend, and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral services were conducted Friday, February 5, 1982, at 11:00 a..m. in the Spencer Chapel with the Elder Carlton Mathes officiating. Interment was in the Boss Cemetery.
