Dannie was born September 21, 1947, in Salem, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Carpenter. Survivors include his mother Daisy Carpenter and his children from a previous marriage, son Chad and daughter Angie, all of Urbana, Missouri. He is also survived by his sister Doris Faye Fink of St. Louis; five grandchildren; and several other relatives. Dannie was a boilermaker and a farmer. He also helped on his parents' cattle farm. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and always had a smile for everyone. Visitation was at Cantlon Oterness Funeral Home, in Urbana, Missouri. Services and burial were July 15, 2002, at Bower Chapel Cemetery in Urbana.
