She was born December 28, 1954 in Rock Springs, Wyoming. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Helmi Lassila of Rock Springs. She is survived by several aunts and uncles. Lane was very active in school and community activities. She also helped on her in-laws farm. Visitation was at Cantlon Oterness Funeral Home, in Urbana, Missouri. Services and burial were July 15, 2002, at Bower Chapel Cemetery in Urbana. ==================== Lauren Carpenter Lauren Caprenter, ten, died in a car accident with her parents, July 10, 2002, in El Dorado, Kasnas. She was born December 4, 1991. Lauren was very bright and enjoyed school very much. She was active in several extra-curricular activities as well. She often said that although she was younger than her nieces and nephews, she could "still boss them around.'' Visitation was at Cantlon Oterness Funeral Home, in Urbana, Missouri. Services and burial were July 15, 2002, at Bower Chapel Cemetery in Urbana.
