Nancy Elizabeth Martin is Greenberry's sister and my hubby's great-grandmother. I have a picture of Greenberry and a few of Nancy. Who is your grandmother's parents? Her name was Nancy Drummonds (born 1864 ARK), but her stepfather was a Nickles and they resided for at least a time in the Salem area or Rolla area. I am aware of two siblings, Molly and Bill, but don't know if they are Drummonds or Nickles. Nancy married Jim Deen or Dean, probably around 1880 in Dent County; we believe he died about 1882 or 1883.

His death certificate only listed Missouri for his birthplace. The Census records that I have for him list MO as the birthplace for him and both of his parents. Family lore says his mother was Native American. And if it means anything, he named his children Alice, Bertha, Clarence, Robert, and Anna in order of birth. None of these names have shown up so far in his wife's family. I've always thought having Coleman as a middle name had some family significance, so finding an earlier William Coleman Watson has really got me wondering if he descends from that same family somehow. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated!!

NANNIE DICKERSON -- Mrs. Nannie Dickerson, widow of the late William Dickerson, passed away at her home in Elvins [St. Francois County, Mo.], Saturday, March 2, 1935, after a brief illness, aged 68 years, 5 months and 1 day. Funeral services were held at the residence Sunday afternoon conducted by Rev. Black, an evangelist of the Assembly of God Church. Interment was in the Salem (Mo.) cemetery on Monday. Nannie Crouch was born near Salem [Dent County], Missouri, October 10, 1866. When twenty years of age she was united in marriage to William Dickerson who preceded her in death. She is survived by two sons, John and Manuel Dickerson of Elvins, one daughter, Mrs. Anna Furl of Leadwood and fourteen grandchildren, besides many other relatives and friends. One son, Enos, died at Camp Funston, Kansas, during the World War.
