Surnames: Nelson, Williams, Abner, Crocker, Butler Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/FKB.2ACE/72.240 Message Board Post: My second great grandfather is Joseph Nelson, brother to (Lucrecy, Lucretia?) Tine Nelson, who married Margaret. I have heard it said that she is a sister to the Williams, however, that does not concur with the information that I have. Margaret's death certificate prepared by son Bales (first wife a Crocker) names her as Margaret Butler, child of Lizzie Abner and James Butler. Also the death record of Margaret and Joseph's son, Joseph, my great grandfather states his mother is Margaret Butler. My father apparently has a lot of oral information on James Butler and Lizzie Abner that makes this credible. It seems that Margaret might be related to the Williams. What documentation exits that Margaret is a Williams? Did someone not get the information quite right? Could she be a step sister or other? Could James Butler or Lizzie Abner's mother be a Williams?
