The license gives Iva Mae's age as 17 (b. 1905-1906), and it indicates that her mother, Mrs. Dora Brinnen, gave written permission for the marriage. Does anyone recognize these people? Pattonsburg 1920 shows James W. Brinnen 44 (WWI draft reg James Washington Brinnen, b. Mar 24, 1875; wife, Dora) Dora 42 Ivare?? E. 14 (the census was Jan. 6, 1920, so she could have been 3 years older August 1, 1923) Ives L. 9 John D. 2 I'm not sure about the name Iva Mae. Could it have been Ivareah (Iva Ray) and been incorrectly recorded? I was confused about this marriage due to Iva Mae Brannen (15 in 1920) in my wife's family. Listed as a step-daughter of Frank Casebolt in 1920. Her mother is Mary J. who was married to Perry (Pary) Brannen (Brannin/Brannon) before his death in 1909.
