The only new information I have is that I have found a James H. Taylor in the 1850 Daviess Co., MO census that may be a brother to the William Taylor in the same census who had no wife in the household, but children Nathan, James H. and Sarah Jane. This older James H. Taylor is age 34 (two years younger than William), born in KY, as was William, occupation--a saddler. His wife was Mary, 26, b. TN, children Susanna, 7, b, KY, John M., 6, b. MO (indicating move to MO was 6 years prior), Stacy I. 4, female, b. MO. William may have named a son James H. after his brother.
