This is to let you know that I have set a meeting for Friday, June 24th at the library for the purpose of seeing who would be interested in the forming of the Daviess County Genealogical Society. If you would be interested and are in the area, please consider coming so that we can see who and how many are interested in joining. If you are away from the area but are interested, please let me know the following: 1. Would you be interested in joining? 2. What is the very most that you would give as dues each year to help with the expenses? 3. What would you like to see as a result from your membership dues? In other words, what can we local members do to help you members who are far away because of your membership? Please send to me privately, and I will share with the ones who are in attendance. If you have any knowledge of forming a society, I would be interested in you sharing how you began, what you did/do, and how it works where you reside... When you sign your name, please, also let us know where you live... I am sure that the locals would be interested in seeing where others who do not live in the area reside and how far reaching this project would be...
