There are no U.S. Civil War records on Charles. He did not serve in the U.S. services during the civil war, but with the MO State militia. There is, however, a pension record on Charles A. MANUEL. John M. FANNIN, guardian of Albert MANUEL, minor son of Charles A. & Nancy K. (FANNIN) MANUEL. Because of John's request and associated affidavits, the minor son, Albert MANUEL was awarded a U.S. Civil War Pension because of his father's service with the MO. State militia. I am waiting the results from the State of MO. in regards to any records that they may have on Charles as it pertains to his service. Would like to establish direct e-mail with you in regards to this family's history. You seem to state information that is more than likely "sourced". Respectfully: John W. MANUEL
