The October Meeting for our Daviess County Genealogical Society, is Saturday, Oct. 27, at 1:30 pm at the Sheriff's home of the Squirrel Jail, in Gallatin. This will be our last meeting for 2007, and all members who can attend, are urged to be in attendance. We finally have the 2nd room ready for cleaning and moving some of our resources in, so we need "all hands on deck!". There are filing cabinets and other heavy items that need to be moved and we need all the help we can get. Also, please bring cleaning supplies to help us get the 2nd room cleaned as well as additional cleaning of the 1st room. Also, if you volunteered to take pictures of a cemetery, please bring those cds to this meeting. Hope to see you then! Hi Lanita, I would love to be in attendance a week from Sat. However, it will have to be another time. Our six children and their spouses "threw" a big 50th Wedding Anniversary party for my wife and I, last week and we are still recovering. I really should be gathering material for the next "Daviess Diggins', but maybe I can wait until after the 27th, since you will likely write your Presidential message after that meeting.
