Her parents may have been Joseph Haynes and Polly Quickle, both born in Botetourt Co., VA. David and Letha are my 3x Great Grandparents. They had 10 children: 1.Mary Jane Hamon b. 14 Jun 1859 VA - d. 30 Oct 1854 VA 2. Malinda Hamon b. 31 Dec 1850 Roane Co., VA - d. 14 May 1932 Phillips Co., CO (this is my gggrandmother) 3. Leah Hamon b. 11 Oct 1852 VA - d. 4 Nov 1854 VA 4. Frances ELizabeth Hamon b. 4 Feb 1855 Roane Co., VA - d. bef 1930 in MO 5. Mahala Hamon b. 28 Mar.1857 Roane Co., VA - d. 1928 - Antelope Co., NE 6. Emma Ethel Hamon b. 17 Jul 1859 Roane Co., VA - 16 Nov 1946 San Diego Co., CA 7. John W. Hamon b. 21 Mar 1861 VA - d. 12 Sep 1867 Clay Co., MO 8. Robert L. Hamon b. 5 Apr 1863 VA - d. aft 1930 (possibly King Co., WA) 9. Joshua Hamon b. 12 Nov 1864 WV - d. 8 Apr 1866 WV 10. Elizabeth Susan Hamon b. 11 Jan 1867 WV - d. 16 Sep 1867 Clay Co., MO Census 1850 - 2 Aug, District 27, Jackson Co., VA (Line 32 99/102) David age 23 and Letha age 19 and their daughter Mary Jane age 1. Next door is a William and Belinda Hammond (Line 26 98/101) who I believe is David's brother. Census 1860 - 9 Jun, Roane Co., VA (Line 4 96/96) David age 33, Letha age 30, Malinda 9, Frances 6, Mahala 4, Emma 1 After 8 Apr 1866 family moves to Clay Co., MO, 1867 - deaths of his wife Letha (Oct 12) and children John W (Sept 12) and Elizabeth Susan (Sept 16) 9 Jul 1868 - marries second wife, Nancy Ann Stout, Buchanan Co., MO I have been unable to find David and Nancy in the 1870 Census at this time. I believe they were living in MO based on the births of their three children, David Jesse (1869) James Andrew (1871) and Virginia (1872) all born in MO according to the 1880 census plus the marriages of three of David's daughters, Frances (1873 Clay Co., MO) Mahala (1877 Daviess Co., MO) and Malinda (1878 Daviess Co., MO) Census 1880 - 14 Jun - Plum Creek, Boone Co., NE (Line 20 5/5 - David age 53, Nancy age 50, stepson William Veich 23, daughter Emma E. 20, Robert L. 16, and Jesse 10, James 9, and Virginia 7. Living next doot arre his son in law Henry T. Williams, his daughter Malinda and their daughter Elisabeth age 1. 1887 - 3 Jan - Boone Co., NE - David Jesse Hamon (s/o David and Nancy) dies. Census 1900 - 29 Jun - Bristow, Boyd Co., NE (Line 95, family 283) living with his stepson William Veich and family. ca 1903 Nancy dies and is buried in the Bristow Cemetery in Boyd Co., NE. David goes to live with his daughter Mahala Hamon Moore in Antelope Co., NE. I can provide more info if you like.
