Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/EKB.2ACE/738.3 Message Board Post: When I did a search on this line, I was unable to make a connection, although there may be one........I just can't find it! GGG Moses Brown, according to 1850 census, Morgan Co., KY, (Only census I found for him, as he d in 1856), Moses was b 1783, Mass. He had 10 children, all b VA, and known by his recorded will. He came to KY from Grayson Co., VA.....as best I can figure, and Grayson Co is close to NC border....children all married, and some took off for new territory. My GG, Isaac, stayed in KY, m Mary Ann "Polly" Adkins. My G, William, relocated to OH, m Juliann Akers. They named their first born son, Oliver Tilton Brown (b 1877). Oliver m a cousin, Minerva Susan Brown, and named their first son, Lewis Wetzel Brown, and first dau, (who died young), Missouri Brown. My grandfather was Nathan Brown, brother to Oliver, and he married Annie Bell Lee. They named their first born son, Oliver Tilden Brown. Oliver is an unusual name for my Browns, as is Missouri.... There are several Moses Browns in the line. Just can't figure out the naming pattern, and when I found a Moses Brown with the same naming pattern, I had hope to connect. Thank you for your response. I will continue "digging" in this branch, and explore NC connections.................. Who knows? With a surname like "Brown", anything is possible. Happy Trails, Beverly
