Just one line of them. How are you related? Stella Belle Heath was the d/o David M Heath and 2nd wife Stella Belle HEATH (b. 1865) m. 4 Mar 1889 Davis Ellsworth WATERS (b. 1861 MO), a farmer in Salem Township, Daviess Co. MO. Davis Waters was the son of Gardner Waters (b.ca. 1820 OH) and his wife Sarah E. (b.ca. 1838 IN) who came to Daviess Co in 1849 and began farming with his brother. Gardner Waters became one of the most successful stockmen of the county and owned 735 acres of land with his brother. Gardner and his wife had five children and Davis Ellsworth Waters who grew up on the farm and married Stella BelleHeath, was the eldest. (Gardner Waters, his father was indeed wealthy as in the 1870 census they had real estate valued at $6,000 and personal property valued at $1200.) Davis Ercel Waters, the eldest son, in addition to running a very successful farm and being one of the leading stockmen of the county, was also a Justice of the Peace for 4 years, member of the township board for 6 years, school director and district clerk. He belonged to the Independent Order of! Odd Fellows and was a Republican. They were members of the Methodist Church. Davis and Stella built a 2-story beautiful home. In 1920 they are living in Grand River Twp, Daviess Co. Mo still farming, but several of the children have married. The 7 children of Stella Belle (Heath) and Davis Waters: John 'Aaron' WATERS (b. Apr1890 d.1953)(farmer and stockman) m. Alice M. SHERRILL. No issue. Sarah Audra 'Audrey' WATERS (b.Dec 1891 d. 1977) m.ca. 1911 Louis F. KROSCHEN (b.ca.1881 MO) Farmer and stockman. Sarah Audra Waters and her husband are living next door to her mother and father in 1920, farming. At that time they have had 3 children: Lillian M. KROSCHEN (b.ca. 1914 d. July 2005) m. ___DORNEY Wilma D. KROSCHEN b.ca. 1916 m. ___LASHER Vesper L. KROSCHEN b. 1920 (daughter) m. ____LIERLY Irma Jane WATERS (b. Feb1894 d. 1970) m.1st Carl Herbert NETHERTON (b.13 Nov 1889 d. 2 Aug 1933). Carl Netherton was the son of Abelhart Netherton (b.1849 MO) and his wife Mariah J.(b.1853 MO) who lived in Washington Twp, Daviess Co. MO. He was one of 12 children born to this marriage. He was a farmer and stockman. Both Irma Jane and Carl Netherton are buried in Grand River Cem. Daviess Co. MO.In 1920 Irma and Carl Netherton are living in Washington Twp, Daviess CoMO and have just one child. Irma Jane (Waters) Netherton remarried after the death of Carl in 1933. She remarried Cleveland HAROLD. (She isburied under Netherton. Perhaps this 2nd marriage ended in divorce.) The child of Irma Jane (Waters) Netherton and Carl Netherton: Eloise NETHERTON (b.ca. 1918) m. Gilbert BROWN Austin H. WATERS (b. Jan1896) m. Thaisha KINCAID Austin and Thaisha Waters had four children: Robert 'Bobby' WATERS Lela Rose WATERS m.__ Lloyd HARTPENCE Norma Lee WATERS m. ___McWILLIAMS Maxine WATERS m.__KILBURN Thomas KILBURN Alice Lucille WATERS (b.1898 MO d. 1989) m. Emil E. SALMON (b.ca. 1894 MO). Emil Salmon was one of 10 children born to Urlin E. Salmon (b. Feb 1870) and his wife Leota Salmon (b. March 1872) living in Salem, Daviess Co. MO. His father Urlin E. Salmon was a Missouri State Legislator. He was elected to the 55th General Assembly, reelected in 1938 and served in the 69th assembly 1938-1942. His sister Cecilia M. Salmon also married into the Heath family as she married Maggie G. (Heath) Plymell's son Charles D. Plymell over in neighboring Harrison Co. In 1920 Alice and Emil Salmon are farming, raising stock in Cypress Twp, Harrison Co. MO.Alice (Waters) Salmon and Emil E. Salmon had one child of their own that died at birth. They adopted: Robert Lynn SALMON Davis Ercel WATERS (b.ca 1902 d. 1976) m. Julia Catherine GREGORY .Later in life Davis E Waters went by David although his real name was Davis), friends just called him 'Ercel.'He and his father had different middle names (Ellsworth, Ercel). Davis and Julia (Gregory) Waters had four children: Julia Catherine WATERS m. James W. McMANUS Julia and James McManus had 5 children. Rita Jane WATERS b m. Maurice C. CAREY. No issue. Mary Helen WATERS m. James Michael MURPHY Mary Helen and James Michael Murphy had 4 children. Roseann WATERS m. James Bernard HUDNALL Roseann and James Hudnall had 3 children. Robert Emil WATERS (b.1904 d. 1975) m.ca. 1927 Gladys Roxanne STEWART(b.ca. 1907) Robert and Glady Waters had three children: Margaret June WATERS (b. 14 July 1931 d. 12 May 2005) m. 3 Aug 1953 Loren Kenneth TERHUNE . Margaret grew up in the family home built by her grandfather Davis Ellsworth Waters in Coffey, Daviess Co.MO. She taught at the Cole Country School from 1952- 53. She was a farm wife until moving into town in 1991 where she worked at several shops and was a pianist at the Coffey Church.
