The obituary for Olan Salmon read: Olan Clay Salmon, son of James Walter and Daisy Dell (Heath) Salmon, was born at Pattonsburg, MO on November 9, 1902 and died at his ome in Belleville (KS) on July 22, 1980, at the age of 77 years, eight months, 13 days. The family moved from Pattonsburg, MO to Osborne, KS when he was seven. They moved to the Wayne community in 1911, and he lived in that community until moving to Belleville last October. He attended the Seapo Rural School and Wayne Grade School. He was united in marriage to Mabel Barton on June 2, 1926. To this union two children were born. She died on July 9, 1955. He was married to Mary Kopska on February 27, 1960. He was a member of the Methodist Church of Agenda and the Junior Eagle Lodge of Cuba. He was a farmer until 1942, when he began working for the Co-op Association. He worked as a bulk agent for several years, and later as manager of the Co-op Feed and Elevator at Agenda. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mabel; an infant brother, Ray Orid. He is survived by his wife, Mary, of the home; one son, Ray of Belleville; one daughter Mrs. David (Karen) Yoggerst of Riverton, IL; two step-sons J.D. Kopsa of Mountain Home, Idaho; Richard Kopsa of Panama; a step-daughter Maurene McCracken of Wichita; five grandchildren and eight step-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Bill (Faye) Stinson of Ridgefield, WA, Mrs. May Molzahn, Belleville, Mrs. Guy (Fontella) Campbell, Belleville (KS). Services were held July 25 at the United Methodist Church, Agenda, with the Rev. Lloyd Gaiser officiating. Burial was at the Union Cemetery, Wayne, KS.
