I have been researching the Davis's for awhile. I took a break for awhile and I just started getting back into it. I am stuck on a Jonathan Davis. I can go back to a William M. Davis who is my 4th great grandfather. He is buried in Crudgington Cemetery in Dallas County MO. On his tombstone it says, "Eldest Son Of Jonathan Davis" and that all I know about Jonathan. William M. Davis was born March 7th 1824 in TN. (I don't know where in TN). He died Aug. 6th 1860 in Dallas Co., MO. He married Margaret Montgomery abt. 1845 in Polk or Dallas Co., MO. They had six children. Green L., John A., Sarah Elizabeth, Carrol Mathew, William Beverly (my line) and Columbus Davis. I don't know if William M. had any siblings and I don't know who his mother and father are except for the name "Jonathan". Or anything else. This is where I am stuck. I can not go back any further. I also have a cousin here in MO that I share info with. Her N! ame is Debbie Mueller. She listed all the descenants on Ancestry.com world tree. You should be able to bring it up by searching for William M. Davis, born March 7th 1824-- Aug. 6th 1860, Dallas Co. MO. I would love to share info with you. If it is easier for you to write me at my email address. It is [email protected] Thanks Nicki and I hope to hear back from you soon.-Bruce
