    3. If you go to the state archives, you will find online his death certificate: Jesse was the son of Jacob McCOY and Sarah OWENS [both born in Illinois]... He was born in Illinois on Jul 18 1847... he's bur. at Hickory Creek Cemetery. He d. Feb 8 1923. Go to: http://www.sos.mo.gov/archives/resources/deathcertificates/ and you can get a copy of his death certificate... let me know if you need census.     3. According to the 1882 Daviess Co. History Book, Jesse McCOY was a member of the Pilot Grove Church of Christ... there were several McCOYS listed. It was formed on 4 Feb 1856... he was a charter member... other charter members were: A. J. VINSON John McCOY both of above were elders John A. BROWN James SCOTT Jesse McCOY W.S. BROWN S.H. HAMMOND [above were deacons] Levi CLINE F.H. TROXEL James A. GARTON D.N. TERRY William ADAMS I.G. SCOTT built in 1861. Martin SCOTT was pastor.     3. My great grandfather's sister, Nancy E. Adams married Jesse J. McCoy in 1866 in Daviess Co., Missouri. I know nothing of this family or their children from then on, I would like to know if there are pictures, obits, or even family in the area. I have a copy of their marriage certificate and I know that Nancy was living on the 1930 census with her youngest child, William H. McCoy. Also I know there was a grand-daughter named after her according to the census. Then I'm lost!     3. Hello, Jesse McCoy and his wife Nancy are part of the McCoy family that I am related to. These McCoys came from Pike Co., IL and lived for many years in Daviess Co. My great grandmother was Sarah Malissa "Lissy" McCoy. She married John Warren Manuel. Her parents were Charles W McCoy and Malissa Cuma Mershon. I believe that all of the McCoy families were related.     3. Ann, Most of my Snider's arrived in Daviess abt 1855- George, Nathan, Lewis (brothers) and their father, Jacob. My link is George, I know most data on him- I think Nathan and Lewis both stayed in Daviess (pretty certain Jacob died there abt 1865-he was 84 in 1860). I did see an entry for Samuel on the Census, but, wasn't sure if there was a link.
