I also found his family in the 1850 Daviess Co., MO, census, and in the Oregon 1870 and 1880 census, but haven't found him in an 1860 census. Perhaps he was enroute to Oregon, on the Oregon Trail. Another Taylor descendant whom I am in contact with tells me that Nathan raised 4 nieces and nephews--Sarah, Charles, Alvin, and Martha. I wonder if they were children of James H. in 1850 census. I found several Taylors in the 1840 Daviess Co., MO, census also, but it's hard to tell if or how they might be related. There is a William Taylor age 20-30 with one male under 5, 1 male 20-30, 1 female 10-15, and 1 female 15-20. That William is the right age to be the William father of Nathan in 1850 census, but don't know. There are several Taylors in index of History of Daviess Co., MO. Have you seen that source or had a lookup done in it? I haven't, but it would be good to get it. Would ap! preciate hearing of any other progress you've made on this.

I am wondering if you know of any Grimes buried at Muddy Cemetery? I am looking for Richard Grimes. Richard had three children by his first wife (do not know her name), William Washington Grimes (married Nancy Dilley), Rebecca (married John Blankenship) and Mary (married George L. Cain). His second wife was Minerva Jane Case (remarried to A.J. Johnson after death of Richard, she is suppose to be buried at Muddy Cemetery.) There children were John, Frank, Louisa and Rosetta. I believe Louisa married a Parker then a Groomer. I'm hoping you have heard of any of these names. Thanks

I have not found a burial for him or Malinda in Daviess County, nor have I been able to find family connections to any other Breeden's in the county. Have you run across this man in your research?

Hello, I find no reference to an Emma Stout in my Daviess Co. Cemetery records. Like you, I have not heard of a Stout Cemetery in Daviess Co. either but would suspect that it is now known as Muddy Creek Cemetery. Please share with me all the data you have on Emma and family.
