    3. OK... Book of Obits and Funeral Cards:-DALLAS CO, MO. NEWMAN , ROY ELTON Roy Elton Newman was born July 15, 1889 in Dallas Co., MO., the son of John Albert and Mary Jane Richardson Newman. He departed this life on June 3 )no year given)at the Buffalo Medical Center at the age of 88 years, 10 months, and 18 days. He was united in marriage with Nellie Mae Fultz who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Ethel Boggs, Pearl Mills and Vena Newman; and one brother Albert Newman. On Dec 19, 1964 he was united in marriage with LUCY STEVER HOOVER. He is survived by his wife, Lucy; one stepson, HERBERT HOOVERof Lawrence, Kansas; two stepdaughters, PANSY WEBB of DeSoto Kansas, and NETTIE MAE DAVIS of Buffalo; one brother, ELMER NEWMAN of Corona, CA., two sisters, BESSIE CARTER of Springfield, and EULA GANN of Seattle, WA. nine step grandchildren and 18 step great grandchildren. Mr Newman was a retired fruit inspector and he made his home in CA for 50 years. He returned to Buffalo in 1964. He was a member of the Charity Christian Church and the Buffalo Masonic Lodge No 361. Funeral services were held Monday, June 5, at 2 pm. in the Montgomery Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Harold Mayes and Rev. Tom Scowden officiating. Music was by Vernon and JoAnn Viets who sang, "I Have to Cross Jordan Alone" and "Beyond the Sunset." Casketbearers were : GENE DAVIS, RONNIE BOGGS, ELVIN BRUNNER, HERBERT HOOVER, RALPH NEWMAN AND ORVILLE WEBB. Honorary escorts were Fred Bennett, Jake Clymore, Irvin Hill, Oren Myers, Lester Slack, and Phillip Watkins. Interment was in Mt.
