    3. Tonia, You are right in that there is no town named Jackson in Dallas Co., but there is a Jackson Township located in southwest Dallas Co. That is probably what your family information is referring to since it includes an area where I know many of the Highfill families were living. Since most people before 1920 were born at home, and many times, not in a specific town, sometimes the birthplace was given as a township area. Jackson Township includes the towns of Charity and Olive, just to name a few. By the way, to what Highfill families are you related? Cheryl Luginbill (researching Barrick, Case, & Highfill surnames in Dallas Co.) >Hello Everyone, I am new to the list [maybe 5 min]. I have entering info on Smith's, Highfill's, Gard's, and more. The info keep's tilling me family is born in Jackson, Dallas Co., Missouri. However all my book's tell me Dallas Co., MO does not have a town by that name. So, my question of the day is was there ever a Jackson in your County ? And does anyone have a list of the names of the Cemeteries that you would share with me ? Thank you ever so much, Tonia<
