Well, I wouldn't say that, Rick! :-) The site for the 1850 online census is: ftp://ftp.us-census.org/pub/usgenweb/census/mo/dallas/1850/ There is a link to it on the Dallas Co. MOGenWeb home page, http://www.rootsweb.com/~modallas/ under the link to The MOGenWeb Census Project. However, that is wrong and I will be moving the link to the 1850 Dallas Co. census. It is not actually part of the USGenWeb or MOGenWeb Census project. It is part of a group that calls itself USGenNet. So if you are looking for census records you know are online, and you're not finding them under the USGenWeb Census Project, that might explain it. I'm not sure about all the details, but some time ago, there was a rift within the USGenWeb project about the census project, and so some people split off and started their own. Or something like that. Anyway, this has created all sorts of confusion among census transcribers, genealogists like yourselves using the web, and site coordinators like myself. It wouldn't surprise me if the submitter thought she was contributing to the USGenWeb. So bookmark the link! Meanwhile I'll see if I can convince the transcriber to *also* submit it to the USGenWeb Census project so it will be easier to find. --gary
