Thanks, Barbara Hello Barbara - First, you may already know (but in case you don't) Springfield is in Greene County, not Dallas County. Second, you may already know (but, again, in case you don't) there is no 1890 federal census. It seems virtually the whole country's 1890 census went up in flames in D.C. once upon a time. There is an 1890 Special Federal Census of Union Veterans & Widows which survives. I do not find the surnames of either CHUNN or CHUM in the index. The book I have includes Christian, Dade, Dallas, Polk and Taney counties. Rick Gregg
