Especially the > Creek. > > Lori According to Skinner's "Big Niangua River" there was Price Creek mill on the Niangua about 1/4 mile below the mounth of Duesenberry Creek. It was formerly known as teh Gaunt Mill and the Bramwell Mill. A map shows that this was due west of the Alexander Hill property where the Hill Cemetery is now located. "Dallas Co. MO History" page 308 says that when Dorcus Hill was young she was so frail that her parents feared she wouldn't live long. So they let her choose where she wanted to be buried, and she chose a spot which became the Hill Cemetery. I have that she was born about 1840 and died after 1918 when she filed for a widow's pension from John Williams' Civil War service. I don't have the date of her marriage to John Williams or her death date. Does anyone have either of those? -- gary
