Descendants of James William Allen 1 James William Allen b: Abt. 1861 in Kentucky d: Abt. 1900 . +Prudence Diana Grantham b: April 18, 1861 in Greenfield, Dade County, Missouri m: December 15, 1885 in Dade County, Missouri d: October 18, 1886 in Greenfield, Dade County, Missouri ....... 2 Oleta Allen ....... 2 Ada Allen ....... 2 Evelyn Allen ....... 2 Joseph William Allen b: October 18, 1886 in Northwest of Greenfield, Dade County, Missouri ........... +Minnie Viola Brown m: Abt. 1921 d: Bet. 1925 - 1930 Will was born northwest of Greenfield in a log cabin. His mother died when he was born, he lived with his Aunt Martha Elvira (Grantham) Hail until he was 4 years old, when he went to live with his father. His father died when Will was 14 and he went back to live with his Aunt and Uncle Hail. Will was married to Minnie when he was 25 years old. They had 3 girls. Joseph and Minnie are buried in the Forest Hills Cemetery, Kansas City, Missouri. Joseph and Minnie apparently had four daughters, Oleita, Ada, Evelyn and Viola.
