    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Wilson, Shaver (Shaffer), Edman, Ervine, Morrison, Curry Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/CKB.2ACE/1814.1 Message Board Post: Thomas Ephraim "Eef" Shaver and Nancy "Nannie" Hamilton Wilson were my great-great grandparents. I have a few family photos. Nancy became ill and moved near relatives in Dade County, MO. She died in Eureka Springs, AR (were most of her siblings were born). Her father was Harvey Wilson who was born in Germany in 1802. I have a few photos of Nancy and Thomas (not high quality since they came from tin). I cleaned Nancy's headstone in 2004 and visited it today, July 12th. Our records indicate that Thomas is also buried at the same cemetery. Great Uncle Eldro's research revealed the following: Thomas Ephraim Shaver first married Nancy (Nannie) H. Wilson on March 10, 1869. Thomas and Nannie had five (5) children: Austin, Edwin, Unnamed, Eldro and Leonard. Nannie died January 8, 1882. Thomas was born in Highland Co., Virginia. (Austin is my great grandfather). Thomas E. Shaver second marriage was to Anna Meyers Whelchel on March 1, 1882. Thomas and Anna had no children. Anna Whelchel was born October 4, 1863 and died June 6, 1884. Thomas E. Shaver third marriage was to Rebecca Frances Watson Kinsinger on November 20, 1884. Kinsinger was Rebecca's name from a previous marriage. Thomas and Rebecca had two children: Minnie Estella Shaver who was born August 23, 1885 and died October 9, 1885; and Millie Jane Shaver who was born March 27, 1886. Thomas' parents, siblings, Austin and other related relatives are buried in the Mount Tabor Church Cemetery South of Charleston, IL where my grandmother, Margaret Esther Shaver (Stone), and my mother, Mary Lou Stone (Hopper / Pickett) were raised. Thomas' mother was Sarah "Sallie" Edman and his father was John Shaver. John changed the family name from Shaffer to Shaver (two ff's in German are pronounced as a V) I have John's name on his daughter's marriage Cert. he uses Shaver and she uses Shafer. John's dad was Abraham Shaffer. Bye for now! Rodney Hopper Sources: Marriage Register Coles County, Illinois: Thomas E. Shaver and Nancy H.
