    3. Hi List, But the fact still remains that there are sources there in Dade County that we cannot get at appropriately and timely without outside help. The staff of volunteers that you spoke of will not do look-ups at the courthouse. SO, if there are researchers on this list who lives in the Dade County area that would be willing to do some looking for some of us that can't readily get there and will do it at a nominal fee or for the cost of copies, etc., then they could respond privatley to the inquirer. You can't expect someone to make copies and mail them to you for free. Even the library will not do that. But untill they get a staff of volunteers to do courthouse look-ups, we have to have another outlet. I have read on this list that if someone is a member of the society the courthouse would not charge a look-up fee. If the library keeps your membership a matter of record, then the courthouse and the library COULD work cooperatively to allow a library volunteer to fulfill a courthouse look-up received via email or smail at the library for that requester, otherwise, the library could charge the courthouse fee also. The more cooperative Dade County is with researchers the more cooperative researchers will be with them, in addition to the fact that many out of town researchers might find that they are so please and thankful for the efforts that have been made for them that they might add a few extra hours to their visit and document something that the library or the MODADE site does not have and donate it to them. There is a photo page there, but not very many photos. I have always felt that many photos of Greenfield and the area from the past and now could be placed there. The site could also use a map that indicates where towns, cemeteries, schoold, etc., are now, or were. Researchers are always asking for directions prior to their visit. A map that shows what homesteads are now under the lake might be useful. There are a number of things that researchers could give back if cooperation exists.
