I've been looking for information on that family also. My father was Max Gerald Sallings, born Dec 17,1917. He was the son of Henry and Ruby (Lee) Sallings.My dad's older brother was James Ronald Sallings, and he had a younger brother named Robert. They were born in Lawrence Co. AR near Walnut Ridge in a small town called Portia. They called their dad Henry, but I think his name may have been James Henry. My dad died in 1975, and both of his brothers are dead also. Henry died before I was born (1962), but I'm not sure what year. Ruby died in 1976 or'77. I know my dad had some really old uncles that he called Mont and Babe. I am the 5th of 6 children. I have 4 older brothers and a younger sister. There are many of us here in AR. My dad's younger brother has some descendants in Columbia, SC. I'd like to know something about your grandmother also.
