    3. The minutes for the above show: Martha A. Bell, Mary Bell An old letter, dated 4-14, 1878 from Luie Gray to my grandmother, Ematell "Emma" "Tella" Fort, says: Martha is married her mans name is Florid Ellison. they live in Elexandria. He is in the Tombstone business and a Carver. (spelling and punctuation as shown in letter). I don't know if this is Martha Bell-- The name "Bell" rang a bell! Here is an obituary from 1928: MRS. JAMES H. BELL Mary Prudelle Burch was born July 15, 1861. On October 13, 1878, she was married to James Bell. No children were born to them, but they had a part in bringing up other children. Ollie Smith was born in their home, and lived a part of her young life there. In time she was married, and her children also found a home there, especially Lucille Clopton, who became a child of the home. Mr. and Mrs. Bell untied with the Christian church at Corry, under the preaching of Mr. Wilkinson, about 1887. They united with the church at Greenfield in 1909. Mr. Bell at this time is a teacher in the Bible school, and is a well-loved elder of the local church. The disease which caused the death of Mrs. Bell began many years ago, and for twenty years she had been a sufferer, being called upon to bear burdens such as few have to carry. Through it all she was tenderly cared for by Bro. Bell, and was patient and faithful to her trust in her heavenly Father. For her and others like her there remains the rest of those who endure to the end. She went home Friday, September 15, at 3:00 p.m. The funeral service was conducted by Mr. Bundy and Mrs. Crank at the Christian church, and she rests under a mound of flowers in Greenfield cemetery. (Nannie Burch and Della Burch shown on the minutes of the Sabbath School) "Dell" wrote to my grandmother after they left Dade County and moved to Kansas. My mother sent the letters to this James Bell. His letter to Mamma mentions Dell's sister, Nan Watson at Greenfield, Mo., Peora Cantrell McCoy at Everton, MO, Whit and Hartwell Goforth at Ash Grove, Jessie McMasters at Garfield, Washington, and a Bob Stanley at ????Tex(could be Texarkana) I hope this helps in a small way.
