Hi everyone, I guess I am one that started this dialogue on Pro. Researchers. I really do wish we had a list of them if they existed. But I do have to take up for the Dade County Genealogical Society. They have treated me really wonderful, and have answered every query I have ever sent in to them. I may not be pleased with every answer I receive, but the fault is probably mine as I am sure my querys sometimes were not short, concise and simple. Ms Audrey Brown & Ms. Nelson, have both gone beyond what my requests were and given me infomation on my ancestors slaves that are in their records, some whose families still live in the area today. I had not even thought about those records. Court record which we all need are another thing. The Society has two Will Books but the associated Letters/ Executor and Administrators documents associated with probate are not included in those books. That is where my needs lie, hence a need for a professional researcher. With all the commentary we have had on this subject I would think a Pro would do quite well with just the people on our list.
