Hi, Anisah: Years ago my grandmother told me that the courthouse in Greenfield, Dade Co., had burned and her marriage record would be unavailable. I wrote to the county clerk and received a certified copy of her marriage in 1899 with the message that records from the fire had been saved. The fire occurred in 1863 and the county clerk has marriage and divorce records from 1867. Good luck. Dr. K.
