Jane, Do you think it's coincidence that the Mary Gillenwater Courtney listed below has the same last name of Minervia Gillenwater who listed as Sarah Ellen Robinson's mother? Would Mary be short for Minervia by any chance? I know that the Courtney last name doesn't make sense, but it's quite a coincidence. Also, if you believe (playing devil's advocate here) that Mary Gillenwater Courtney and her sister raised Sarah Ellen Robinson, why would they have left her land in Hawkins Co., TN and then Sarah Ellen bought land (after David Jesse's demise) from her dad (Powel Robinson) in Dade Co.? Wouldn't Powel likely have taken his children to be raised with his new wife Mary Kyle Delp? Do you have any information on sibilings of Sarah Ellen Robinson?
