Robert Neal Newkirk was born 24 Jan 1903, Pennsboro, MO. Married Leila 7 Mar 1925, Greenfield, Dade Co, MO. He died 13 Jul 1977, La Mirada, Los Angeles Co, CA. His parents were Jacob Elwood Newkirk and mother was Ollie Alberta Neal. (If you want the info on Jacob, Ollie, Abraham, and Elizabeth, let me know) Jacob Elwood Newkirk's parents were Abraham Taylor (A.T. or Abner) Newkirk (A.T. was an abbreviation although many books list that as a first name) and Elizabeth Ruddick. I'm way deep on this line, I can go further back if you want to. WILLIAM NEWKIRK IS NOT MARRIED TO LEILA MABEL COURTNEY. I can't find William L. and Anne Mary Belle in the 1920 Dade Co census,where my mom is sure they are, but I think they may have lived just over the line in Lawrence Co.
