Hello Everyone, I have finally found a marriage for one of the children of Amanda WILLIAMS and Henry Lawson GUFFEY, who were married about 1870 in Dade County Missouri. Amanda was the daughter of my 3 g grandparents Thomas L. Williams and Frankey MURRELL, d late 1800s in Dade Co, buried Shiloh. Daughter Frankie T GUFFEY of Turnback, Dade Co, and Henry C. STAMPER, of Turnback , Dade Co., were married 3 July 1898, by James Irby, J.P. License dated 2 July 1898. Does anyone know anything about the Stampers? I do not find Henry and Frankie, nor any Stampers, in the 1920 census in Dade Co, though there are both a Henry Stamper and R. F. Stamper shown in Smith Township in the 1903 Dade Co Atlas online :: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~judysstuff/dade/atlas.htm The archives for both Dade and Lawrence lists, show only one listing for an Alice Stamper, wife of a Culley, several years ago.
