No, Mary and Minervia were half sister. There father Thomas Gillenwater married 2 women by the name of Mary and both Mary's were cousins. One went by the name of Polly. If you do the 9 month thing David was still alive in Jan of 1887 because Maggie was born in Sept of 1887. They may have travel to visit dad and bought some land, planing on coming back to Dade Co in the next spring. Something most of happen either having the baby or David died, with out having the 1890 census there is no way telling when they actually moved to Dade Co MO. There is no way of knowing why Sarah and possible 2 of her bothers were left in Hawkins Co. Several of Mary Kyle's older children by her first marriage were also left behind, even though there were older. This is not the only family that I have that the parents moved and left some of there children behind with grandparents.
