Brown who moved to Corry in the Spring of 1875 with his wife Mary Jane; son William, b. 1867, and daughter Lilly, b. 1871. John was a country doctor, and set up a drug storein Corry. Later he joined an effort to mine lead. In Sep. '76 his leg was broken in a mine and did not heal. The leg was later amputated. He died on Oct. 11 or 12, 1876 in Corry. I assume he is buried there. Mary Jane and the children left Missouri and returned to her family in Ohio. Thank you for your time and help. Bob Benton, La Verne CA
