    1. John Bitterick, Benton and Dade co MO
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Bitterick; Rucker Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/CKB.2ACE/1778 Message Board Post: I'm really stuck on this family. So far I have John Henry Bitterick, b Dec 1866 in MO. He died in 1952. He married Lucy Jane Rucker (1866-1909). I have John in the 1900, 1920 and 1930 census for Barton co MO. In each of those he says he was b MO, his father was born in Germany and his mother was born in IL. I haven't been able to find him with any certainty as a child in any census. The closest I've come is in the 1880 census for Center, Dade, MO I found a John Bitrick, 65, farmer b Germany, wife Charity 55 b MO and John H., 13 b MO. I found a marriage record for a Charity McGuire to a John Bittrick dated 29 Dec 1870 in Dade co MO. In the 1870 census for Center, Dade, MO I found John Bettrick, 55 b Baden, William 25 b PA, Sarah 22 b PA, Elizabeth 4 b MO and Mary L. 3 b MO. But John Henry should be listed if this was his family, as he was born in 1866. I don't think Charity was the mother of John H., but possibly a step mother. Does any of this sound familiar to anyone out there?

By chance, would your Tyndall be also spelled Tindill? There were several there. I'll be glad to send you copies of the pictures if you think they might be related. Jann

His wife Martha Milligan is buried in Collins Cemetery in Dade County Missouri so this might be a possiblity. I beleive he died before 1951 because her brother's obituary listed Martha as being Mrs. J A Wickem of Dade County Missouri Aunt Martha owned a couple nursing homes in the area one that burned in a large fire I was told. I am having trouble finding anything on her husband J A Wickem. If anyone can tell me which cemetery he is buried in I would greatly appriciate it. Thanks, Valerie

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/CKB.2ACE/1775 Message Board Post: The Dade County Genealogical Society has a new web page at www.dadegenealogy.4t.com. Although there is much data still needing downloaded the page is up. The page contains Cemetery Directions, a Guestbook/Query Page, a snail mail Query Form that can be printed, membership information, photos and mystery photos, eventually there will be a price list for the 100+ books of transcibed records available through the society. There are 19 pages of cemetery directions but only a few entries are on the page right now. I will be adding the rest over the next month. The person who has compiled the info. has done so though Microsoft Works and is in the process of changing that over to Micorsoft Word for my computer. In the meantime if you need directions email me at dadegenealogy@yahoo.com. I check the email daily. Tammy V. Fisher-Heldenbrand DCGS Web Master
