Lee, If you go to: http://www.state.ok.us/osfdocs/history.html you will find all kinds of info on the history of Oklahoma. On November, 16, 1907, Oklahoma became the 46th state. Charles Nathaniel Haskell: First State Governor serving his term 1907-1911 I know that there was not an 1880 census, so this explains why... there were several TERRITORIAL governors, but the above HASKELL was the first STATE governor... lots of info at that url! Hi All, A late cousin of mine recently had her genealogy published, secretive she, never mentioned it was forthcoming nor offered to sell me a copy. As I understand, it was about Dade County FARMERs & PURDYs and their ancestors. Authoress, the late Delores Purdy. Was anyone fortunate to obtain a copy? How about my two cousins, K. and C., who are usually on this list? Thanks, Jim Adams

Hi I am looking to make contact with anyone who may know the Bledsoe family that was living in Dade County around 1915. P.T. Bledsoe and Sarah Seybold Bledsoe were born in Orange county Indiana. They moved with there family around 1880 to Bronson, Bourbon Cty Kansas where they owned a farm. P.T Bledsoe died around 1889. Sarah sold the farm to her son Lewis in 1915. I am looking for information about P. T. (Ptolemy) Bledsoe's brother William B. Bledsoe. Wm is my husbands great grandfather. He was married to Margaret ? and they lived with or near P.T. and Sarah in Kansas. Margaret died of typhoid fever in 1888 leaving 4 small sons to be raised by Wm and I am assuming Sarah is sister in law. I would like to learn Margaret's maiden name and where she and Wm were married. Joanne Bledsoe in Seattle [email protected]
