Eleanor, The only Mudd graves listed in the book "Cemetery Records of Crawford County" by Helen Marie Wright are the following: MUDD: H. E. Mar. 28, 1863 - Oct. 1, 1868 J. M. Jan. 25, 1858 - Mar. 23, 18679 (yes, that's how it's typed!) H. T. Sept. 25, 1829 - Mar. 23, 1963 (this is obviously wrong too - probably should say 1863) MARY, July 31, 1828 - Nov. 16, 1887 V. E. Jan. 2, 1862 - Nov. 20, 1896 - OBITUARY: Valerie Mudd died Friday last of consumption at the residence of Ernest Treece in Oak Hill Township, age about 30. The above graves are all located in the "Gibson Taylor Cemetery" which is located on High Point or Davis Road off of Highway 19 in Oak Hill Township. There are no Mudd graves listed in the book I have for Steelville City Cemetery. Sorry! In some other records I have, I find a marriage license dated January 23, 1868 issued to John Keeney and Julia A. Mudd. Also, I have an 1840 Crawford County census which shows a John F. Mudd living in Liberty township. Bettye > Is there a publication of all of the persons buried in Steelville?
