Petition To Preserve The Kaes House If you would like your name added to the list please send an email to: [email protected] This beautiful house at Sherman, St. Louis County, Missouri is believed to have been built in the 1850's & is listed as a St. Louis County landmark. Local legend says that it may have been Gen. Wm. T. Sherman's house at one time. Also it may have been part of the Underground Railroad during the Civil War. This antebellum home deteriorates more with each passing year and if something isn't done soon it will be beyond repair. It would be a shame to lose yet another piece of St. Louis / Missouri history.
