I think it is time to have a roll call. Sometimes in doing my research I get allot of new names. You may add as many names as you like, but I am hoping they would have a Missouri connection, especially the Crawford County area, but can be from a neighboring county. My MILLERS were from North Carolina, William Jackson Miller, born in 1830 and settled in Yankee Branch area of Crawford County with his parents when he was 10 years old. But who were his parents. Other names I have are BROWNS from Franklin County; George Marion WEST, also born in Franklin County, so was his father John W. West. Please put your surnames in the subject heading. Thanks and happy hunting. -- Joe L. Well, In keeping it specific to Crawford County I have to limit myself to the Cook name. Specifically descendants/ancestors of Christopher Columbus Cook, Jr. aka "Capt. Cook". Chris settled in what is now known as Cook Station. Alas, there are no Cook relations left there. The last one being Christopher Dean Cook who moved to Illinois about 5-6 years ago. Now by virtue of marriage we are related to many people in and around Crawford County...Beckham's, Copeland's, McDaniel's, Maire's, Sewell's, Gentry's and (it seems like) most of the early Maries County settlers. About the only Crawaford County line I haven't tied into yet (and I'm sure the tie is there somewhere) is the Pinnell's!! Happy New Year to all! Good idea! I have recently subbed to this list. My line is Mial Elias Spicer and his wife Mary M Rouse Spicer. Mial and Mary were married bef 26 Sep 1850, probably in Jefferson Co, NY. They came to Crawford Co sometime between 1858 and 1860. CHILDREN: 1. Frank Wyman, b 1853, Jefferson Co NY. Frank went to Canada and was one of the original 50 Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Following his retirement he returned to USA to Ill and was a Methodist minister. He d in 1916 in Marion Co, Ill. Wife was Maude, nothing further on her. 2. Minnie, b 1858, NY m a Lamb 3. Lillian D b Mar 1860, Mo m Zachariah Smith and a Mr Taylor. Buried in Crawford Co, Bourbon. 4. Addie, b 1862, Mo. m a Lamb, brother of her sister Minnie's husband. 5. Bem Daniel, b 1865. This is my line. He m Edna Amelia Gruenewald, d/o Dr. Julius Gruenewald of Worden, Madison Co, Ill. Bem [note it is Bem with an "m", not Ben] d in San Jose, Ca in 1938. He and Edna were ma in 1903 in St Clair Co Ill. His dau told me he was born in Jefferson Co NY but I think it was MO. 6. Grant, b 1867 in Mo. No further info on him. My grandfather was named after him. 7. Daniel Collins, b 1869 in Tipton, Moniteau Co Mo. Marr, possibly in Schebogby? Wis, Wilhelminia Kathleen Schutte. He d 1932 in Bourbon. Although this is not my direct line I have visited descendents of Daniel and Wilhelminia who still live in Bourbon today and have collected a lot of info on them. Anyone researching this family? nt -----Original Message----- From: Joe L.
