June 22, 1864-July 24, 1885 STAFFORD: SARAH JANE, wife of Richard died Jan. 2, 1900 age 65 years, 1 month 17 days - OBITUARY: Sarah Jane Stafford died at her home near Steelville January 2, 1900. She was born November 15, 1824 on the same farm where she died. She married William W. Key July 4, 1855, they had two sons Thomas E., and John W. Key. Mr. Key died in 1863 from chronic diarrhea contracted in the Civil War. She married Richard Stafford February 18, 1875 who died January 27, 1897. KEY, DAPHNA, Feb. 5, 1896-July 20, 1913 QUINLEY: Peter M. husband of Elizabeth Dec. 16, 1821 - Dec. 7, 1903 - OBITUARY: Peter M. Quinley age 81 years, 11 months and 21 days, died December 7, 1903 at the home of his daughter Mrs. William Key in Union Township. He was born in Maryland and served with the 93rd Pennsylvania Volunteers in the Civil War. MRS. E., wife of P. M. Apr. 19, 1829 - Aug. 22, 1910 age 81 years, 4 months, 4 days. KAY (sic): JAMES A., Mar. 26, 1863 - July 22, 1908 JOHN T. Sep. 26, 1837 - Dec. 26, 1907 age 70 years 4 months. OBITUARY: John T. Key the son of William and Elvira Key was born Sept. 26, 1837 and died December 26, 1907 at the residence of his sister, Mrs. Joseph Bowers in Steelville. His wife the former Ollie Edgar died five years ago. He is survived by two sons, James Key of Crooked Creek, and Frank Key who lives out west, three sisters Lizzie Vaughn, Melvina Fitzwater, and Eliza Edgar, one half brother Ben Key, four half sisters, Mrs. Joseph Bowers, Mrs. Emma Horn, Mrs. E. A. Ferguson and Mrs. T. H. Lea. LUCY O., wife of J. T. Feb. 16, 1842 - Feb. 4, 1903 - OBITUARY: Lucy Key wife of John T. Key and daughter of William Edgar died at her home on Crooked Creek Feb. 4, 1903 age 60 years, 11 months and 19 days. She leaves husband and two sons. KEY, William J. Mar. 18, 1866 - Apr. 21, 1945 - William Jesse was the son of Jeremiah and Sarah Livingston Key - Obituary: William Key passed away Saturday morning April 21, 1945 at the home of his son Henry Kay (sic ?) of near Cherryville, he was about 75 years of age. Besides his son, Henry, he leaves a daughter, Mrs. J. T. McMillen of Keysville. LaRUE: SAMUEL Sep 11, 1822 - Nov, 21, 1902 - OBITUARY: Samuel LaRue died November 21, 1902 at the home of his daughter Mrs. J. B. Key near Keysville. Mr. LaRue was born in Crawford County September 11, 1822 and married Miss. Samantha Breezley in June of 1846. They had two sons and six daugthers, seven still living, Joseph La Rue and Mrs. M. E. Ramsey of Sligo, Mrs. C. H. Lay and Mrs. Lucy Maxwell of Steelville, Mrs. Ann Ruthledge of Cook Station, Mrs. J. B. Key and Mrs. Arkless Humphrey of Keysville. SAMANTHA wife of Samuel Feb. 9, 1824 - Oct. 25, 1894 age 71 years 8 months 6 days - OBITUARY: Mrs. Samuel LaRue of Union township died Friday afternoon. KEY, J. W. Dec. 6, 1859 - May 20, 1926 - OBITUARY: John W. Key died at his home near Keysville Missouri on May 20, 1926. Mr. Key was a native of Crawford County and his home village bore the name of his grandfather. He was born December 6, 1859 and died May 20, 1926 age 66 years, 5 months and 14 days. He was married to Mrs. Louisa Kessler September 4, 1881 and was the father of four children: Mrs. K. J. Boyer of Sedalia is the only living child. Also surviving are the widow Mrs. Louis Key, Albert Kessler a step-son and Thomas E. Key the only brother. Key was born May 17, 1848 and died December 5, 1932, aged 84 years 6 months and 18 days. On May 28, 1885 she married Jesse B. Key and to them were born four children: Elmeda who died nine years ago, the following children now living: W. O. Key, E. E. Key and George A. Key. JESSE B. Jan. 3, 1840 - Dec. 5, 1906. LUCINDA JANE wife of Jesse Jan. 15, 1843-Sep. 3, 1883. KEY: ELIJAH May 20, 1809 - May 8, 1888 - Elijah Key was the son of Elijah and Sarah Collins Key. He was one of nine children. He had a twin brother William. MATILDA - Oct. 20, 1819 - Oct. 10, 1874 - Matilda was the wife of Elijah Key. LIVESEY: OBITUARY: Elsie May Livesey nee Key wife of Marshall Livesey and a half sister to Fred Downing died in St. Louis December 29, 1903. She became a mother a month ago. KEY: OBITUARY: Noah Key son of the late Elijah Key died Oct. 11, 1904 at his home in Keysville age 60 years, 9 months and 14 days. Father of ten children. Survived by wife the former Miss Jane Dunlap and eight children. KEY: OBITUARY: Obadiah Key age 65 son of Elijah and Matilda Key died April 22, 1907 at his home in St. Louis from the results of a stroke. LeAves second wife, one child and brother Jake. Buried in the family graveyard at Keysville. KEY: OBITUARY: Parmella Jane Key wife of the late James Noah Key died at the residence of her daughter Mrs. W. F. Arnett in Steelville Saturday morning May 11, 1918 age 75 years. She was the daughter of the late Andy Dunlap and a sister to Mr. John Dunlap. She was married to J. Noah Key in the year 1858 and ten children were born to the union 6 sons and 4 daughters eight of whom are living. George W., Thomas Ed, and John F. Key of Kirkwood and Henry, Taylor and Albert Key of Keysville, Mrs. Joseph Calvin of Sullivan, and Mrs. W. F. Arnett. She haS made her home with her daughter since her husbands death in 1904. KEY: OBITUARY: Thomas Elijah Key was born at Kaysville (sic) Missouri October 12, 1856, and died April 27, 1932. At the age of 76 years, 6 months and 15 days. He was married in 1885 to Miss Telitha Dobbs who died about the year of 1890. To this union three children were born: Lester Thomas, Zelma, Mae. Zelma died in 1913, May died in 1925 and Lester Thomas is the only living child. His second wife formerly Mrs. Jennie Sites whom he married in 1905 and who bore him no children. Thomas E. Key was for many years postmaster and station agent at Keysville. KEY: OBITUARY: Eunice Jamison Stanford was born February 7, 1857 and died on May 9, 1933. She had reached the age of 76 years, 3 months and 2 days. On December 14, 1876, she married James H. Sites who died April 16, 1910. Five children were born to them as follows: Russell Sites, Mrs. J. T. McMillen, Charles E. Sites, John M. Sites, and Curtis E. Sites who died in childhood. In 1914 she married Thomas E. Key of Keysville, he died April 27, 1932.
