Bettye - sorry for the error I realized I made - your info below specifies that James S. Trask's mother was Marvin's first wife. Again, sorry about that. Further in the info, a "Mrs. Lenz Johnson" of Ft. Scott, Kansas is actually the Lena Trask Johnson I mentioned a minute ago - Eugene's sister, James S.' half sister. Eleanor, I do find Eugene Trask (1855-1919) listed in Steelville City Cemetery. Listing also gives the following obituary: Eugene Trask was married to Miss Mary Johnson May 14, 1877. Nine children came to bless their home, eight of whom survive the father, Jorgen, Gladstone and Leslie; Mrs. C. E. Jamison, Mrs. N. M. Lawrence, Mrs. Nina Beeks, Mrs. E. O. Glover; and Marie Trask. Also listed right below him is listing for Elizabeth Dawson Trask, wife of Marvin W., Oct. 1, 1826 - June 19, 1897 age 70 years, 8 months, 18 days. Also, I find a listing at Steelville City Cemetery for a James Steel Trask who appears to be related to Eugene Trask. All that is given for him is obituary: James Steel Trask died at the residence of Mrs. Mary Achurch in Steelville on Sunday morning April 8, 1906 from heart failure. He had been a sufferer for a number of months with kidney trouble. He was son of the late Marvin W. and Alice Steen (?) Trask, and was born April 17, 1836, a brother of Mrs. Lavica Wood of near Steelville, a half brother of Mrs. G. S. McIntosh and Eugene Trask of Steelville, Mrs. Lenz Johnson of Fort Scott Kansas and Dr's J.S. and H.E.C. Trask of California. The funeral was conducted at the C. P. Church by Rev. W. J. Todd on Monday at two o'clock. The interment took place at Steelville cemetery. Bettye > Sorry, forgot to ask if someone could tell me if Eugene Trask is buried > in Steelville?
