Hello, I decided not to give up on my Fergusons, and to try again. I have submitted my Ferguson/Gilmore information to Worldconnect at Rootsweb. I did not include my notes, so if anyone wants additional information, you will need to contact me. I am hoping I receive lots of requests for information. Is ordering them from the LDS the only way to see them? Has anyone published those tax lists, either on a CD or in a book? Catherine was the daughter of Frances "Franky: EUBANK and Joseph GILMORE of Albemarle Co. She and William and their children left Albemarle Co. about 1807 and moved to Sumner Co., TN, and then around 1810 they moved to Barren Co., KY. That part of Barren Co. became Allen Co. in 1815. William was listed on the 1810 Barren Co. tax list and Catherine was listed in 1811. They lived on Walnut Creek. I recently found William Ferguson on a web page at Worldconnect and this person showed that he died from cutting his knee with a broad axe. I didn't know this. I wrote the person who posted this information and asked where he/she got it, but I got no response. I just assumed he had gotten sick and died, but apparently it was from an accident. Three of their children moved to from Allen Co., KY to Crawford Co., MO: Elizabeth Ferguson Merritt Richey, Obadiah Ferguson, and Rev. William G. Ferguson. My ancestor, their daughter Frances Ferguson Spillman, moved to Hickory Co., MO around 1850-1853, and died 22 Feb 1859. If anyone has any information on these folks, please contact me.
